Anne Decker is a music lover, conductor, educator, and collaborator.
Ms. Decker’s work has been distinguished by innovative programming and exciting direction. She is the Founder and Director of TURNmusic. With TURNmusic, Decker blends her musical interests and commits to bringing new, relevant, music to her communities.She has worked with composers Augusta Reed Thomas, Joan Tower, Erik Nielsen and Matthew Evan Taylor.
Previously Anne Decker has conducted productions with the Vermont Contemporary Music Ensemble, Middlebury Opera Company, Vermont Opera Theater, Amato Opera Company of New York City, and served as the Assistant Conductor of the Pioneer Valley Symphony.
Ms. Decker holds a Bachelors in Music Education from Western Michigan University and a Masters of Music in Orchestral Conducting from Illinois State University. Ms. Decker directs music programs at U-32 Middle and High School in East Montpelier. She resides in Waterbury Center, Vermont with her husband and two daughters.
